Pommelien da Silva Cosme

Pommelien da Silva Cosme graduated from the K.U. Leuven (Belgium) with a Bachelor’s degree in Arabic and Islamic Studies and a Master’s degree in Business Communications. Before moving to Marrakech in 2016, she took a course in International Development at the Belgian Development Agency.

As GDF’s Morocco Programme Director, Pommelien works closely with our UK Director to ensure the successful implementation of the High Atlas Cultural Landscapes Programme, including field operations. She leads on HACL grant management and donor relations, and oversees the management of GDF’s team in Morocco. Based in Marrakech, she carries out regular fieldwork to monitor field operations and delivers creative and engaging communications to effectively showcase our work. Pommelien is passionate about telling people’s stories and connecting with local communities. She is a native Dutch speaker, and also speaks English, French and Moroccan Arabic. She hopes to communicate in Tashelhit one day.
