1st MedPlant Summer School on conducting and communicating ethnobotanical research

The inaugural MedPlant Summer School was held from 11 – 19 September 2014 in Angour, Tahanaoute, Morocco. The course, focusing on conducting and communicating ethnobotanical research, was divided into four intermixed sections – Ethics in Ethnobotanical Research; Anthropological Methods: documenting knowledge and practice of medicinal plant use in a socio-ecological context; Botanical and Ecological Methods: assessing conservation status through a collaborative approach; and Public Science: multimedia approaches to communicating scientific ideas.
